Church Friends BBQ

We went to a BBQ at Doug's this weekend. It was a lot of fun getting to catch up with some of our church crew (that we used to see every Sunday night when we were all advisors together). The only pictures that were taken at the BBQ were either of the babies- Liam and Cayden or of the dog- Quincy (also known as Allison and Steven's first baby). Liam had so much fun playing with Cayden, we hope we can get the boys together more often in the future.

Nationals game

Brian, Karen and Liam went to the Nationals v/s Orioles game today. Liam liked watching the ball players throw and catch the ball, he liked walking around the park, and he loved the gift shop...however, there were a few things he didn't like- the Geiko lizard touching him during a photo op with the Presidents, all the sitting, and the crowds on the metro. We had a great time at the game and wore Liam out enough that he slept an extra hour Sunday night!

baby shower!

Karen's cousin Susan had a baby shower at her house this weekend. Karen made the trip up by herself and stayed with Susan and Gary while Brian stayed home with Liam. It is so nice when we get to spend time with Karen's family...next time all of us will have to make the trip.

Happy Mother's Day!

Mother's Day was filled with a wide variety of activities:
It all started with breakfast cooked by Brian for Grandma Folger and Karen (yum...waffles!), followed by an ordination at church (Brian became an Elder), then a long family walk, in the evening we went to a cookout at Nana and Pop Pop's, and finally Chris, Dana, Madison and Cameron stopped by to play.

pure joy

Nana in all her glory....

Is it possible to get a 3 year old and two 1 year olds to all look at a camera????

visit from Grandma and Grandpap

Grandma and Grandpap Folger visited VA this weekend. Liam had a great time playing with his grandparents. Grandma taught him that the phrase "oh no" should be as dramatic as possible, shoes go on your feet, and digital cameras are soooo cool. Grandpap taught him that pillow forts are best made in just your diaper and Bogart is almost as good as a pillow.
