Jaidyn's christening

We always like to cram as much adventure and activity into every trip we make...so why not add a christening to our itinerary while traveling for the holidays? All joking aside...it was truly a blessing to be able to be there for Jaidyn's big day. Here are just a few pictures:

Holiday fun in PA

The day after Christmas we went to Pennsylvania to see Karen's grandma, aunt, uncle and cousins. We had a great time at Aunt Patty's playing with Liam's 2nd cousin Jaidyn! Great Grandma Catney was in her glory with all three of her great-grandkids around her.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Pictures from Christmas Eve and Christmas Day:
cute cousins
Come on Hannah! I'll show you where they're hiding the presents.
We've been caught! Quick...pretend we were just shaking them!
I love giving out gifts!
Wow! Uncle Daniel rocks! We both love Hannah's new kitchen.
We both also love Liam's new front loader tractor!
Who needs toys when there's a box of packing peanuts around!

sweet fun in WV

Liam and Hannah made a gingerbread house on Christmas Eve and sugar cookies on Christmas Day. They both "sampled' their work during the gingerbread house decorating, and Liam made sure the sugar cookies had plenty of sprinkles before cutting them out.

fun in the snow

DC got hit with a massive snow storm this weekend and Liam loved it! We got 2 feet of snow at our house. Here are just a few pictures that we took:
our front door (there is a stoop and walkway under there somewhere)
Liam next to the snow in the driveway (this is the snow that accumulated after Brian had shoveled once on Saturday already)
Liam standing in the snow
since the snow was really too deep to play (or walk) in, we brought a bowl of it inside and made mini snowmen
Liam all ready to help shovel snow (in Mommy's boots and gloves and his pjs of course)
snowballs are fun to make (especially when you have a bulldog that likes to catch them when they're thrown)

Mount Vernon

Liam went on a little field trip with Nana and Pop Pop today. He got to visit Mount Vernon and check out some of the local history. (Linda and Steve were hosting Steve's niece Linda and her husband Bob for the week and wanted to take them out to see the sights). Here are just a few of the pictures:

Happy Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving with Brian's family this year. Chris and Dana hosted the whole family. The kids had a great time playing together (bowling, playing beauty shop and bouncing on the moon bounce)! Here are a few pictures that were taken amid the chaos of cooking, chasing kids, and running home to take care of Bogart.

rockin' with Grandpap

Liam and Grandpap Folger had a great time playing the drums and all of the instruments that Grandma and Grandpap brought with them from WV. He loves it when his grandparents come to visit!

We're off to see the wizard...

Liam, Madison and Cameron all dressed up like characters from the Wizard of Oz this Halloween. They were so cute together. Good thing Madison and Cameron loved getting into their costumes because it was the only way we could convince Liam to put his on to take a picture. *sorry for the poor picture quality...these are scanned from prints that Aunt Dana took

GG's nemisis

Karen's grandma loves to repeatedly shared a story about Karen when she was little. The story goes that Karen's grandparents were away on vacation and while they were gone the Folger's came to visit and rake leaves, clean up the yard, etc. Karen's mom didn't want them to know who had been there so she made sure she cleaned up after all of the kids. When Grandma and Grandpap arrived home, they knew instantly that Karen had been there. How did they know??? Because Grandma found petals plucked off of her plants inside the house and plants pulled apart outside....
Well...the trait must be genetic...
