Liam, Karen and Brian went to the youth group's end of the year party at the Deese's in June. Their jacuzzi had just been turned on so it was just a little warm (perfect for letting Liam try out swimming for the first time). Liam wasn't too sure about all of the bubbles...but he didn't seem to mind the water (as long as his mommy was nearby to hold onto).

Liam and his girls
Liam spent some time with all of his cousins this weekend. Aunt Julie, Uncle Jon, and his cousin Hannah went with him to Aunt Dana and Uncle Chris's house. He doesn't seem to mind at all that he's the only boy.

Liam and Hannah playing together
Liam shared all of his favorite toys with his cousin Hannah. They both had a great time!

bath time
Liam took a bubble bath with his cousin Hannah (it was her first and she didn't know what to do with all of those bubbles). Liam showed her that you can kick bubbles and still splash water on your mommy!
the Woolley invasion of 2008
Karen's sister Julie, brother-in-law Jon, and our niece Hannah came for a visit this weekend. We've had a great time together and Liam and his cousin have been doing some bonding (playing on the floor together, getting a bubble bath together, sharing toys, going to the park together, and doing some synchronized eating). Grandma Folger has been desperate for pictures (what she doesn't realize is how hard it is to post pictures with two babies in the house). Even though the adults out-number the babies...we still could use an extra set of hands. :-)

Liam's first "real" food
We gave Liam his first taste of "real" food (rice cereal) last Friday. He got more on his chin, clothes and on his mommy than in his mouth...but everyday he's getting a little better at it.

Happy Father's Day!
Today is Brian's first Father's Day with Liam. Karen had all kinds of fun things planned, but Brian hurt his back digging a French drain in the backyard yesterday. Karen and Liam were still able to make breakfast for Brian...but the rest of their plans were thrown out the window. (They had a day at Great Falls Park planned with a picnic for lunch) Liam still gave his Daddy a new book to read with him "Daddy Hugs". Karen gave Brian a book that helps answer the "how come" questions kids ask (without making up answers like solar winds).

Liam is 5 months old!
Liam turned 5 months old on June 10th! He is getting so big (and likes to show how big he is by standing up and stretching out his arms). He giggles and laughs a lot now (and Mommy and Daddy have even found some spots where he is ticklish). He loves when Mommy and Daddy sing and sign to him. He just started to roll from his back to his belly. He loves his "exersaucer" and trying to put all of his toys in his mouth. He also loves his bath time because he gets to do lots of splashing and kicking in water. He's still inconsistent with sleeping at night...sometimes he sleeps for 6 hours, sometimes 4 hours, and sometimes he's still getting up every 3 hours. The biggest milestone this month is Liam is starting to get interested in food. We've started introducing some rice cereal in the evenings and see how he does. (maybe we'll start getting more sleep now). :-)

after baptism party pics
We had a great time after Liam's baptism at Aunt Dana and Uncle Chris's house. We can't thank them enough for hosting the party! Liam is such a busy body (just like his Great Grandma Marie) he refused to sleep during the party. He did a couple 1/2 hour bursts while being held by his mommy or one of his grandmas.
