family time

We recently got to spend some time with Aunt Dana, Uncle Chris and Liam's cousins Madison and Cameron. Liam got lots of kisses on his toes from Madison and Cameron really enjoyed rubbing his hair.

Although he is sleeping more these days....Liam makes it really hard to get out of bed in the morning (especially when he snuggles up after a feeding and Mommy or Daddy fall asleep before taking him back to his crib)

wedding weekend

Brian and Karen went to a wedding this past weekend. Two of their friends (Greg and Cristin) got married just outside Baltimore. It was a lot of fun (although tough since it was Karen's first voluntary night away from Liam).
Liam didn't seem to mind spending the weekend with Nana. Liam and Bogart spent two whole days getting spoiled by Linda. When Karen and Brian came home...they found out they had been getting spoiled too (the laundry, vacuuming, dishes, and ironing had all been done). WE LOVE OUR NANA!!!

3 months old!

Liam turned 3 months old on Thursday, April 10th! (His mom is a slacker and didn't find time to write about it until today). He is getting to be so big! Some of the fun new things he's doing:

Laughing and giggling (especially at Daddy singing)
He's found his thumb...but seems to think it's too small to suck. :-)
Talking, talking, talking (Liam loves talking...sometimes he'd rather talk than eat)
Karate chopping and kicking up a storm when he's laying on his back
Push ups (Liam is trying to push himself up during tummy time)
Rolling over (Liam is really trying to roll over...sometimes he only makes it to his side)
Pulling himself up to a sitting position when he has someone's fingers to hold onto.

The best thing Liam has just started to do is sleep more during the night. He's been sleeping for 6 hours (although not consistently yet).

Daddy's boy

Liam has the best Daddy. Brian does a great job changing diapers, getting bottles ready for daycare, giving baths, playing with Liam on the floor, singing songs, and taking care of Liam so Karen can get some quality time with her girls.

Liam and his cousin Cameron were born 3 months apart. We couldn't resist taking pictures of the two of them together in their blue and pink.

Liam's aunts

Liam's Aunt Dana and Aunt Julie love him so much. It is so great that he has such wonderful aunts. Too bad all his cousins are girls.... :-)

back at work

Well...it's official...Karen is back at work and Liam is in daycare. We're all a little sad about this transition back into the "real world". Karen's first week back went by pretty quick, with only a few hiccups (electricity going off on her third day back at work, Liam getting fed too much at daycare the next day- 3 bottles in 6 hours...yikes). However, the nice parts of the week included 2 days where Karen was able to take Liam to work with her (one day with only 1 client, the other with no clients). Hopefully we'll be able to at least have one day a week where Karen can have Liam at work with her.
